Mrs. Jennifer Rucker- JA Social Studies

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Telesis!

 

This is my first year here at Telesis, as well as my first year at the Junior Academy level, but my 7th year teaching Social Studies.

 

I graduated from Kingman High School in 2014, Completed my AA in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in History at MCC in 2016, my BA in History at GCU in 2017, and my Teacher Certification Program at Moreland University in 2017, as well.

 

I worked at Desert Willow Elementary from 2015-2017 as a paraeducator in the Kindergarten classroom, then Lee Williams High School from 2017-2019 as a History teacher. I transferred to Kingman High School in 2019 for the additional role of teaching Theatre, where I remained until moving to Havasu this past summer.

 

I have been married for 5 years, have a four year old daughter named Genevieve, and have a dog named Zelda (see pictures ---->). My hobbies include traveling, reading, drawing, playing Skyrim, and learning languages.

 

Yo puedo hablar, escribir, y leer español. I also speak some Japanese, but am unable to add to this page in Hirigana, Katakana, or Kanji. If you are interested in learning these languages or need assistance with your homework, please let me know and I can direct you to applicable resources.

 

The only resources required in my classes are paper and pencil. Please see the below attachments for each course syllabus.
